Assam Rifles Recruitment Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: 

• Masters degree of a recognized university in Hindi/English
• Matric with Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines
• 12th with Radio and Television Technology or Electronics or Telecommunications or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances from a recognized University or institute.
• 10th class pass from a recognized Board with ITI certificate in the grade. OR
• 10th class pass from a recognized Board with English, Maths and Science. OR
• Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate(10+2) examination from recognized Board/University or equivalent.

For Clerk: 

English typing with minimum speed of 35 words per minute on computer or Hindi typing with minimum speed of 30 words per minute on computer

For Personal Assistant:

• Dictation: 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute.
• Transcription Time: 50 minutes in English or 65 minutes in Hindi on computer.

Staff Nurse: Matric plus Three years Diploma in Nursing from a recognized university.

Nursing Assistant: 10th class pass with English, Mathematics and Science with Biology as subjects from a recognized Board

Armourer/Cook/Male Safai/Washerman Barber/Equipment & Boot Repairer/ Tailor/Others: 10th class pass from a recognized Board.

Physical Standards:

Soldiers General Duty/Technical & Tradesman:

• Height – Male: 170 cms, Female: 157 cms
• Chest – (Male Only) Unexpanded: 80 cms, Expanded: Minimum expansion 5 cms
• Weight – For Females & Males proportionate to height and age as per medical standards

Clerk/Personal Assistant:

• Height – Male: 165 cms (except ST candidates) Female: 155 cms
• Chest – (Male Only) Unexpanded: 77 cms, Expanded: 82 cms
• Weight – Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards

Age limit (As on 01.01.2019):

• Hindi Translator: 22-28 years
• Staff Nurse/Clerk/Personal Assistant: 18-25 years
• For Others: 18-23 years

Assam Rifles Recruitment Selection process:

The selection process based on Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Test, Trade Test (Skill Test), Medical Examination Test.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Written Test – 35% for General/Ex-Serviceman & 33% for SC/ST/OBC candidates

• For Group C posts application fee: Rs. 100/-
• NO Fee for Schedule Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Ex-Servicemen and Female candidates.
